Garage Floor Epoxy Systems
The garage floor takes a lot of abuse, from car tires to chemical spills. Surface preparation for the particular surface you are facing is very important. A few general things to remember; new concrete must cure for thirty days, apply epoxy when surface and air temperatures are between 55 and 90 degrees, and surface must be cleaned, dirt, dust, oil, and wax free, and dry. Oil stains should be treated with oil stain remover.
If your garage or warehouse floor already has an epoxy or paint coating on it that is peeling and failing, BEFORE you put an epoxy coating on that floor you MUST abrade that floor with a specialized machine (We use a National Tool Diamond Blaster). This process prepares the floor to hold the new epoxy and it usually removes most of the existing coating. We use the right tool to prepare the floor properly, and use top quality epoxy systems.
